Travel & Transport award winners 2018

Bournemouth based Hadland Care Group has been named the winner of the Travel & Transport Award at the inspiring 2018 Big Green Awards.

Hadland Care Group, who is the parent company to Eco sustainable childcare provider Tops Day Nurseries and Aspire Training Team have also recently won the accolade of Environmental Business of the Year award, hosted by the prestigious Dorset Business Awards.

Hosted by the Southern Sustainability Partnership, the Big Green Awards and gala dinner took place at the magnificent Italian Villa in Poole, where a number of local business striving for eco excellence were in attendance.

The Southern Sustainability Partnership launched these awards following the success of the The Big Green Event Expo, Spring Conference and many more. With sustainability becoming a focus for businesses across the UK, it was clear to them that the region needed to be recognised for the enormous contribution environmental management and corporate sustainability is playing in the regional and national economy.

The category that Hadland Care Group was crowned the winner of is Travel and Transport which attracted other worthy finalists such as Safetrac and Redfunnel, both influential businesses.

The award was sponsored by Diverse Cleaning South Limited. Ian Skinner, Owner and Managing Director said “we chose Hadland Care Group because of the obvious passion they have and share about caring. Caring for people and caring for the environment.

Their core beliefs shine through and by their actions they are living their values, a great example to all of us. In particular it’s their investment in the education of children where I believe they are building the strongest message with the potential for greatest impact.

A beacon of environmental light in what will become a gloomy global warming catastrophe if more people do not follow this example. Very worthy winners.”

On their journey to becoming more sustainable, one of the changes Hadland Care Group has introduced is the investment into electric vehicles and electric bikes. With a fleet of 6 electric cars and vans, the use of these vary from holding materials for the maintenance team, dropping children to school and on trips to transport from setting to setting by busy area managers.
