Hadland Care Group is a group of three companies operating throughout Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset, supplying care at every stage, via the provision of Nursery Care for children, Vocational Training, and Residential Care for the elderly. Our nursery sites are: Parkstone, Poole, Wareham, Wimborne, RBH, Winchester, Portsmouth, 2 in Taunton and Boscombe.
Our Reside Care Homes at Christchurch and Southbourne.
Both Tops and Reside benefit from having Aspire who supports with in house key assessors and support from Tutors and IV’s.
The Managing Director of Tops is Cheryl Hadland; Cheryl started Tops back in 1990 at our Parkstone site. Since then the company and training team has grown and grown! Cheryl is responsible for company strategy, including developing new sites. Cheryl has 3 children, the eldest being at university and the two younger ones are at school. She has an MA (Education) from Southampton University.
The Accounts Team is managed by John Bailey, who is our Financial Director, having joined in 2003. John is assisted by Cheryl Wright (Accounts Manager/payroll), Richard Howlett (currently doing his ATT), Kristine and Lana (also doing their ATT). The accounts department deals with all finances, budgets, invoices, accounts, Staff payroll and Pensions. John has an accountancy degree from Kent Uniersity and extensive experience at Director level.
The Administration and Manager Support Team is managed by Maria Thomas-Luker, Administrator Director, Maria managed the Parkstone nursery for many years before joining Head Office, she has NVQ3, NVQ4 and A1. Assistance is provided by Administrators Zoë Short (NVQ3), Becki Triggs (NVQ 3) Ruth Grierson and Terri Smithers. The administration team manage new employee’s paperwork, staff welfare, staff holiday authorisation, staff uniforms, crèches and support all sites.
Personnel and Human Resources, is managed by Charlotte Percival, Human Resources Director Charlotte started at the Parkstone nursery and then moved on to managed the Royal Bournemouth Hospital for many years before starting a family, and then returned to join Head Office, she has an NNEB, NVQ3 and A1 and is working towards her Personnel Practice Certificate.
The Operations Director is Natalie Adamson, Natalie is responsible for supporting the Managers with monitoring company quality, OfSted and quality counts and supporting the staffing/finances of all sites. Although Natalie is based at Head Office she is normally found out and about at our sites across the chain. Natalie's qualifications include the NVQ3, NVQ4, A1 and is currently studying towards her degree in Early Years.
The Aspire Training Team Director is Kelly Russell, Kelly is responsible for checking reviews and training plans, tracking all learners, recruiting and managing the assessors, internal verifiers and tutors. Kelly is also supported within her role by Mary Trott, Training Team Manager. Also Julie Whiley is the training administrator; Julie also inputs all learner records to the LSC. Alan Johnson – Reside Care Homes Director. Alan has managed and worked in many care settings, with 22 years experience. Alan can be found between our care home sites, and is responsible for supporting the managers with monitor company quality, standards of care and in line with CQC – Care Quality Commission, the governing body for Residential Care Homes.
Claire Coombes - Preschool Support Manager/Tutor. Claire has been the manager responsible for many of the new start ups in the chain and has managed at RBH, Winchester, Taunton, Portsmouth, Poole and Boscombe. Claire is normally found out and about at our sites across the chain supporting quality within Tops, being a cover manager, and also tutors and assesses our level 4 learners. Claire has a BA hons in Early Years Care and Education and EYPS.
Bex Lawry – Health and Safety Manager. Bex works between all our sites and Head Office and is responsible for overseeing, supporting, working with our Managers in any issues regarding Health and Safety. Bex has vast experience in Health and Safety and holds the NEBOSH qualification.
Andy Mackay – Maintenance Manager. Andy is responsible for overseeing all our building maintenance and repair jobs across all of our company sites. Andy heads up our maintenance team which consist of painters, decorators, gardeners, electricians and general DIY staff.
Louise Skinner – PR and Marketing. Louise works with all our sites, and is based at Head Office. Louise joined us with 8 years previous experience within PR and Marketing and is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the company is represented within the local area and media. Louise holds a BA hons degree in Communications.
